Code 604 Research is the independent practice of Jeff HC Chung. It studies how a human can stay the explicit governor of an idea's evolution while using AI as a substrate — and translates that study into a working concept called Magic Box.

Magic Box is not another chatbot, and not a more capable notes application. It is a workspace where a human seed is developed into usable assets, where each asset stays a candidate until a human decision, and where those decisions are preserved as a durable, inspectable lineage — so a project does not drift, and a direction once rejected does not quietly return.
It is a deliberate counter-position: a bet on preserved, governed, individual originality rather than on the inferential average of a model. The dominant lane offers everyone the same flavor and calls it fairness. Magic Box exists so that a creator can keep their own.
